Williamsburg Records 11 Property Transfers, Few Prices Disclosed

Williamsburg recorded 11 property transfers between Aug. 14 and Sept. 12, but only three disclosed a sale price. Those three ranged from $97,268 to $200,000, with a median of $125,268. The period's highest-priced sale was 121 Petticoat Hill Road, which sold for $200,000 on Aug. 28 from William H. Hooper to Citizens Bank NA. The remaining eight transactions included two homestead declarations, a conservation order of conditions, and several transfers involving banks or lending companies as buyer or seller. With prices disclosed in barely a quarter of recorded deeds, the data does not show a clear direction for the local market.
