WILLIAMSBURG — The Water & Sewer Commission unanimously approved water and sewer warrants and reviewed operational updates. Chair Eric Cerreta and members Don Lawton, Paul Sanderson, and James Packard (Martin Sullivan absent) heard from Water Operator Bryan Osetek that the state is open to hanging the water main off an existing bridge at the East Main crossing rather than constructing a new utility bridge, reducing project costs. The Commission reviewed tank maintenance quotes from Mass Tanks at $19,800 per tank for the handrail system and $12,500 per tank for exterior washing.
Hydrant flushing begins May 26, with residents to be notified by robo-call.
