WILLIAMSBURG — Water Commission rejected sewer connection for 40-unit affordable housing development. Housing and Community Development Corporation representatives Faith Williams and Dave Christopolis sought the sewer tie-in but cannot proceed without municipal access. The Commission cited contractual limits on daily flows to Northampton's treatment plant, with penalties for exceeding capacity; the town is already near maximum flow.
Water Operator Bryan Osetek reported a malfunctioning flow meter on Well 1, and the Commission discussed East Main utility bridge design work that could reduce costs if MassDOT allows suspending the water main from the existing bridge.
