Williamsburg Town Commons Committee sought alternative funding after missing the MVP grant cycle. Members agreed to explore community fundraising, town funding at the November special town meeting, or available municipal funds, depending on project costs. Committee members Nick Dines, Dave Weber, and Joe Rogers will contact the original MVP grant authors to confirm expected expenses and investigate other funding options; the committee will also reach out to Reed-Bertone Johnson and Gaby Immerman about possible Smith College student contributions.
The committee committed to engaging Dodsen and Flinker, possibly with Depict, to produce clear graphic representations of the town common's constraints for a planned public forum.
