Select Board approves tax relief program and Chapter 61 guidelines.

Select Board · Meeting of March 9, 2026

Williamsburg Select Board unanimously approved a Senior Volunteer Tax Relief Program application and revised Chapter 61 Right of First Refusal guidelines. Board members Chair Denise Banister, William Sayre, and Paul Wetzel also voted unanimously to remove a "No Parking" restriction at Bridge and South Main Streets and approved amended minutes from the February 17 meeting. In preliminary FY27 budget discussions, the board identified escalating costs: Hampshire Regional School's tentative 5.66 percent increase would add $189,000 to the town's assessment, while health insurance costs are up 18.92 percent.

Sayre and Wetzel will contact references for the top two Town Administrator candidates before the board's March 17 meeting, when a hiring decision is expected.
