Only one August sale in Williamsburg reveals its price
The Hampshire County Registry of Deeds recorded 11 property transfers in Williamsburg between Aug. 7 and Sept. 5, but only one disclosed a sale price: $210,000, for land Frances Tilley conveyed to Massachusetts Audubon Society. Four of the 11 records were homestead declarations rather than sales, and one was a conservation order of conditions, not a property transfer. Goshen Road and Valley View Road each had two recorded transactions; the Valley View Road parcels both went from Tilley to the Town of Williamsburg. With price data disclosed in just one of 11 records, the available data does not support a broader read on local home values this period.
