WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg Board of Library Trustees approved staffing restructuring, appointing Megan Doyle as Assistant Director and Head of Programming and Mk Smith-Despres as Youth Services Librarian, with the latter position split-funded by Kmit and the town. The Friends of the Library exceeded their Meekins Annual Fund goal with a $10,000 anonymous donation. The board approved purchase of new community-room tables, funded equally by library and Friends reserves, and a replacement staff refrigerator from reserve funds.
The Tech Hub group from Holyoke began providing free community technology support every other Tuesday through a Massachusetts Broadband grant.
