Library trustees approve higher budget request and hire new Kmit librarian.

Williamsburg Library Trustees unanimously approve fiscal year 2027 budget request of $263,515. Director Beverly Bullock will present a Memorandum of Understanding to the Select Board on March 31 regarding her contract. The board has identified candidate Tom Bodo for the open trustee seat, requiring a write-in vote at the May 4 election.

MK Despres Smith, a children's book author and teen librarian from Gardner, joins as the new Kmit librarian beginning March 16. The library is pursuing a Municipal Vulnerability Planning grant for a rain garden installation at Meekins Library to address flood mitigation.
