Library board accepts bequest, pursues Haydenville building assessment

WILLIAMSBURG — Library board accepts bequest, directs reserve account funding. The Williamsburg Board of Library Trustees unanimously approved a motion by Chair Charlotte Meryman to hold funds from the Jean York estate in a dedicated library reserve account. Director Beverly Bullock reported that the library has fielded three strong applicants for a KMIT position and that staff member Rochelle will retire on June 20.

The board approved review of revised policies on bulletin boards, gallery and outdoor art, and meeting rooms, with further amendments planned for a future session. Trustee Joan Coryat is pursuing a detailed Property Condition Assessment from an architect for the Haydenville Library after determining a prior inspection was insufficient.
