Finance Committee reviews department budgets, revolving funds ahead of FY27.

Williamsburg Finance Committee reviews FY27 budgets from police, fire, and regional schools. The Hampshire Regional School District requested a 5.66 percent increase totaling approximately $189,000 for the town's share; Chair Amy Bisbee reported that Westhampton and Chesterfield Finance Committee members have indicated their towns may seek Proposition 2 ½ override votes. The Police Department is requesting a new full-time officer and cruiser.

Interim Town Administrator Elizabeth Van Iderstine walked the Committee through a line-by-line FY27 budget review and discussed a potential $140,000 fire rescue truck payoff to be covered by anticipated free cash.
