Conservation Commission defers compliance certificate pending spring site visit

Conservation Commission · Meeting of February 4, 2026

WILLIAMSBURG — Conservation Commission defers Certificate of Compliance for earthwork project. The Williamsburg board, chaired by Joe Rogers, postponed approval for 9 Goshen Road until a snow-free site walk can verify stabilization and revegetation, confirming the owner's expectation of a spring decision. In separate enforcement business, Conservation Agent Kelly Kowal reported no contact from owners at 79 South Street since January, though they agreed to attend a March in-person meeting.

The Commission also reviewed its draft Wetland Protection Bylaw, with members Melinda McCall and James Ayres backing stronger enforcement authority and protections for Certified Vernal Pools, while PVPC Technical Support Specialist Angela Panaccione will incorporate revisions into a new draft.
