Williamsburg Conservation Commission approves Mill River Greenway project with revised environmental protections. Chair Joe Rogers led approval of the South Main Street / Mill River Greenway Notice of Intent (DEP No. 342-0155) after VHB representatives presented revised stormwater and invasive species plans addressing prior public comments. The revised stormwater plan includes new curbing, catchbasins, and a pretreated outfall, improving on current conditions where untreated discharge flowed directly into the river.
In related action, the Commission issued a Positive 1 Determination for a proposed Accessory Dwelling Unit at 85 Mountain Street, requiring the applicant to file a Notice of Intent due to proximity to the 200-foot Riverfront Area of Beaver Brook. Commissioner Jim Ayres announced his resignation effective end of March.
