Board of Selectmen approves zoning bylaw changes on accessory dwelling units.

WILLIAMSBURG — Board of Selectmen heard departmental budget reviews and zoning amendments on March 17. Treasurer/Collector Sharon Strzegowski reported strong tax collection and requested a three percent salary increase for the Treasurer's Assistant; the board will consolidate the Treasurer and Collector positions into one role at no added cost. Accountant Nathan Rosewarne reported budget reconciliation on track and a level budget request with minor software increases.
Planning Board representative Steve Smith presented two zoning bylaw amendments required by the state Attorney General's office: removal of mandatory parking spaces for ADUs near transit stations and clarification that ADUs are allowed on non-conforming lots and not subject to Special Permit requirements for lot coverage.
