WILLIAMSBURG — Library board reviewed building maintenance needs and staffing transitions at Meekins Library. Director Beverly Bullock reported roof repairs below flashing, ice dam prevention, and state-level elevator inspection, with architect Dan Bonham recommending contractors for the work. Staff member MK requires eight weeks of recovery from a leg fracture affecting programming, while longtime staffer Rochelle retires at month's end.
The board unanimously accepted financial reports showing the library about $10,000 ahead of the previous year. Friends sold three bricks at the June 6 Resilience Fair and planned book collections and an October sale. The Annual Fund reached $15,231.
